Please send emails to Mayor Deke Copenhaver, Betty Beard who is our Harrisburg commission representative and  our  GA Congressman representative John Barrow. Ask them to help erect a sound wall on the south side of the J. C. Calhoun expressway. Let them know that it is up to them to  protect the quality of their constituents' lives in our historic, noble, neighborhood.

Please click here to go to the wed site where you will find the email for Mayor Deke S. Copenhaver and Mayor Pro tem Betty Beard who is our Harrisburg commissioner. Email both of them and ask them to join us in our petition to Congressman Barrow to erect a sound wall on the South side of the J.C. Calhoun expressway. A better quality of life for Harrisburg residents depends on it.

Please click here to go to Congressman John Barrows web site. There you will find his email. Please request Congressman Barrow to perform a congressional act to erect a sound wall on the South side of the J. C. Calhoun expressway in Augusta, GA. If the J. C. Calhoun expressway were built today the department of transportation would require a sound wall. Harrisburg residents close to the Calhoun need protection.

Decent hard working people see this neighborhood as a diamond in the rough and an economic value. Soon they will dwell here and make our neighborhood shine.

There are many single family cottages in the Midtown, Harrisburg community which are true family values. Private investmet builds the best neighborhoods. In fact,  in most walks of life, except highway infastructure.  Most services, places, neighborhoods, businesses, everything privite, without government input is better.

Tastteful treatment of this stucco cottage is appreciated by the young professional people who lease it. We need more working non section 8 tenants in our neighborhood. Too many government  subsudized housing units in an area is unhealthy for a neighborhood.
